Summary: An anonymous native told an anthropologist that he had encountered a small creature called the “Anchimayen”. That appeared to expel fire from his mouth and eyes and moved in quick jumps, unlike humans. According to the report, the figure resembled a 50 cm tall “naked baby”. Another local forest keeper in Boquete on the shores of Lake Lolog reported being visited at dusk by a tall “vigorous” man-like shape that suddenly diminished his height until it reduced himself to about 1 meter in height.

At least eight witnesses observed a large oval-shaped object with a dome on top hovering over the town. Witnesses reported that at times the object appeared to hover as low as two hundred feet from the ground. One witness said an object resembling a large amber-colored meteor sped through the evening sky then suddenly dropped straight down and hovered above telephone wires at 200 to 400 feet. The witness described the object as metallic silvery gray in color, elliptical in shape like two “saucers fastened rim to rim.” A wide band of brilliant amber light encircled the middle, said the witness. The entire thing spun like a child’s top. After hovering for about seven seconds, the object sped towards the southwest at terrific speed. As the object started to move away a hum like an electric generator could be heard. Some witnesses reported three distinct bands of color encircling the object and two antennae angling out from the dome. These same witnesses also reportedly observed a rectangular door on the bottom. The being picked up a bit of grass and put it to his nose or mouth, then discarded it. He then picked up a hydrangea, which he took with him. He then re-entered the object b ascending the same rope in the manner he had earlier descended. The description of the figure’s height and other features is not given.

Summary: Cigar-shaped metallic craft with rotating reddish and blue-green lights sighted during early morning hours while viewing stars with a new telescope we received for Christmas in 1972. Never Reported. I was 15 years old at the time. My two younger brothers and I were viewing stars with a new telescope we had received as a Christmas gift a month before. My mother worked late at night ,as she was divorced, and was due to return home soon. We were up on the roof and decided to go back in the house so as not to be caught out so late at night. We packed up our equipment and started heading down when we were startled by a very large “cigar” shaped metallic craft hovering about 100 yards away from us. (The craft appeared to be cigar-shaped but could have been a disc seen side-ways.) The craft looked like it was made of unpainted metal with no markings of any kind. It actually looked like a medium sized submarine hovering in the sky with no wings, fins or propellers. It had reddish and blue-green lights that went on and off in rotating motion. What startled us most about it is that it was completely silent; made no noise except for a faint metalic clanging noise. My youngest brother began to cry. It moved along slowly at about 3-5 miles per hour for several minutes and then shot straight up into space and disappeared in a split second (Speed was definitely more than 100 miles per hour!). I remembered looking at my watch and it was 2:30AM when we first sighted the object. The event seemed to last only 3-5 minutes, but when it was over, I looked at my watch again and it was 4:00AM. To this day I’m not sure whether we experienced lost time or whether the object caused my watch to move ahead. Every night after that, we ventured back up on the roof of our house to try to see the object again. On the second night after that, (which would be the 12th), as we were climbing the house to the roof-top, we saw two V-formations of about 6 or 7 objects in each formation shoot from horizon to horizon in what can only be described as “a blink of an eye”. They were traveling at such a tremendous speed we could not make out their shape or exact number. We alll cried out, “Woww!! Did you see that??!!” These sightings were never! reported because we felt no one would believe a bunch of kids. I am 41 years old now, but have never seen another UFO since that time.

Summary: An unidentified youth, driving on Route 18 approximately 13 miles south of Gaffney, saw a domed UFO sitting on the highway ahead, supported by three legs and flashing various colored lights. Thinking at first it was an accident, he slowed his car. Standing around the object were about a dozen “men” of normal height, dressed in white coveralls; they wore gloves, and their heads were bare. Each had “jet-black” hair and faces “the color of Caucasians.” On the uniforms were belts, buckles and buttons and the beings stood in place as the car approached, those facing another direction turning slowly to observe the witness car. They appeared to the witness to be seen through something similar to invisible waves of heat, appearing to “sort of wiggle like a worm.” The lights on the object were all colors and the object itself glowed a darkish yellow, the color of an incandescent bulb. On a side away from the witness he observed what appeared to be stairs that seemed to be affixed to a door that swung downward. He said he would have driven under the object had the men not been standing in the spot; the object was large enough to span the highway so that no car could have passed around it. The youth suddenly became frightened and quickly turned onto a secondary road just this side of the object, and sped away. A later visit to the site disclosed no traces of the object’s landing.
