A man talking a walk in the Royal Botanical Gardens suddenly experienced a state of heightened perception. He then became aware of a figure or nature spirit resembling the God “Pan” standing nearby. The being had a pointed chin and ears, shaggy legs with cloven hooves with two little horns on his forehead. He was apparently naked. The witness saluted the being that seemed startled by the intrusion. During a brief conversation the being told the witness that he lived in the garden and that his task was to help the growth of trees. He also stated that they no longer were interested in humans since we no longer believed in them.

Summary: Frank Mannor and his son, Ronald [plus 40-60 others including 12 policemen ?] saw hovering over a swamp about 1,500 ft away a brown luminous car sized object, with a “scaly” or “waffled” surface, cone-shaped on top, flat on bottom, or football shaped, and 2 bluish-green lights on right and left edges that turned bright red and helped illuminate object in between. Lights blinked out and object reappeared instantly across the swamp 1,500 ft away. The whole object lit up with a yellowish glow at one point and also rose up 500 ft then descended again. After 2-3 minutes of viewing, when 2 flashlights appeared in the distance the object seemed to respond by flying away at high speed directly over the witnesses with a whistling sound like a rifle bullet ricocheting. 10:32, 11 p.m.- 4:30 a.m. 17 Hillsdale College students including Barbara Kohn [Cole?] and Cynthia Poffenberger saw a football-shaped object with red-green-white pulsating lights descend from the NE pass close to their dorm then disappear to the S as if crashing to the ground, then return at 11 p.m. William Van Horn, Civil Defense Director and rated commercial pilot, and police arrived and conducted a ground search 1/2 to 2 miles away to the E but found nothing until Van Horn reached the college dorm where he, using binoculars, and [87?] students saw a maneuvering lighted 20-25 ft object on or near the ground about 1,500-1,700 ft away to the E, with a dirty-white light on the left and dim orange on the right, which brightened after 10 minutes to white and red and began to rise at a rate of 25-30 ft/min to a height of 100-150 ft (about 3-6 minutes), stopped momentarily then descended and repeated the motion several times. At one point on a descent a “convex” surface (between?) the lights could be seen. Summary: The witness, Eddie Laxson, was an electronics instructor & a veteran pilot. Driving to work before dawn, he found a brightly lit metallic object blocking the highway ahead. The fish-shaped hull, 10-12 ft high & 60-75 ft long, was resting on stilts; a central door was open, with steps beneath it. The object bore 4 lights, “the brightest I ever saw,” one directed to the front, one to the rear, and 2 to the ground. On top was a long, curved antenna, on one end a horizontal “tail” and near the middle a porthole. Near the tail end was a vertical inscription reading “TL 4168 or TL 4768.” Kneeling beside this craft was a man wearing something like an Air Force uniform, with peaked cap, and a chevron insignia resembling that of a master sergeant. Laxson got out & ran toward the object, then turned back to get his camera. Meanwhile the man entered the door, and the object took off, rising vertically with a sound “like an electric drill” and then moving south very fast. “As it rose, it seemed to have a magnetic effect on the hair of my arms.”

9:15 p.m. EST. A teenage boy saw two luminous oval objects about 8 feet in diameter descend and land, making a buzzing sound. The objects had a row of multicolored lights around the rims (body lights) “flickering like a computer.” He approached for a closer look, and touched the nearest object, which felt hard and smooth like metal. No heat or cold was felt. The boy then touched an antenna-like projection at the end of one of the objects and received a shock. Frightened, he ran home. His parents confirmed a 3-inch burn mark on his hand and questioned him thoroughly before reporting the incident to authorities. His first-degree burn was treated at a hospital and healed normally. 11:15 p.m. EST. A bright saucer-shaped (disc) object with central dome and two protuberances (projections) on one side was seen hovering above Westminster Hospital for about 5 minutes. The object then flipped on edge, blue flame was emitted from the protuberances, and it rose into the clouds leaving a comet-like trail. An independent witness confirmed the sighting. A “light beam was emitted downward from the object onto a utility pole. Domestic animals in the area were excited and agitated (animal reactions) while the UFO hovered, circled, and moved quickly from point to point. At 11:30 p.m. a Ford truck experienced total electrical failure as a cigar-shaped or elliptical object was seen low over sand dunes. The object circled the area and flew overhead
