Summary/Description: I live in Urban Colorado and decided in April to go to rough it out in the mountains. I took a drive to a small camping sight in Colorado called Buena Vista. I was only going to spend 2 nights there and decided to set camp next to the pond which was roughly 75-100 ft away. I set up camp for the first night and fell asleep. I suddenly woke up to bright red lights at 1:03 AM.

I unzipped my tent and peeked outside to discover a red disc hovering over the pond. It was roughly 30 ft in diameter and 17 ft high. It appeared to be observing the water turning and moving throughout the pond. I watched it for 1-2 minutes and then it shot back up into the sky.

I laid back down shaken and fell asleep thinking I was dreaming. The next morning I woke up with these awful burns on my exposed parts of my body. I thought I got too much sun yesterday and brushed it off. I walked over to the pond and was shocked to find 7-8 dead fish. I thought it was natural but I took a closer look to discover that they had been burned.

My heart began to beat and I just walked away and hiked for the rest of the day. Later that night at 11:09 PM I awoke to the same red lights again and looked out my tent to see the same object over the pond. I watched for another 1-2 minutes and this time it shot to the east. I was shaking an fell asleep. I woke up got in my car and noticed my burns had blistered. I drove away as fast as I could and never came back
