Summary: Stephen from Kentucky called in to tell of a strange bird sighting he had while hog hunting in California: “I was hunting a few weeks back out in California, actually doing some hog hunting and I saw a very large bird-like creature. He swooped down and picked up a piglet. The wildest part of the story wasn’t even the size – the size was crazy! Now, from the distance I was at, where I saw the creature, I couldn’t actually give you a definitive wingspan. It had to be at least 15 to 20 feet. It was like a small plane. Now the craziest thing to me was that it didn’t have many feathers, it almost looked reptilian.”

Summary: The witness stepped outside with his dogs at 8 p.m. on June 11, 2015, when the object was first seen. “I saw a triangle-shaped aircraft with three white, pulsating lights hovering – and then moving slowly northeast and then the lights went off and the craft disappeared.” The witness has a military background. “I’m a former navy rescue, so I know all about aircraft warning lights and I’ve never seen anything like that in the military.” The video shows what appears to be three white, blinking lights at three corners of the craft. The witness also provided one still shot of the object. The case was reported to MUFON on June 20, 2015, and was investigated by North Carolina MUFON Field Investigator Sanford Davis. The case was closed by Davis as an Unknown. “Four day later, another triangle was spotted by two witnesses 50 miles away in Case # 66524,” Davis stated in his report. Davis stated that the object in the video “looks military, perhaps some type of black project plane, a black triangle, a variation of the Astra, TR3B.” In Case 66524, a witness near Gastonia, NC, spotted a black triangle with blinking lights. The witness stated that the object traveled 150 miles in less than one minute. David also closed this case as an Unknown. “In the last few months, there have been numerous sightings in and around the Charlotte area,” David stated.

Summary: — Two people on Thursday said they saw a big reptilian-like bird while driving on the Interstate 80 through Nevada. Bud Davis, a 54-year-old IT executive from California, told Cryptozoology News he and a relative were driving to Winnemucca when they came upon the unusual sight. “We noticed the creature in the median of the highway,” he said about the June 11 encounter. “It was about 3 feet off the ground and about 20 feet from our car on the driver side,” he continued. Davis believes that the animal had just began to take flight right before their vehicle approached at 11 p.m., as it was reportedly having problems getting off the ground. “It was struggling get enough lift to be able to fly over the car once it saw us. The creature’s wings cleared the front windshield by only inches, so we both saw the thing very clearly as it flew across the front of our vehicle, left to right, and out of sight.” The man describes the bird as being grey in color and had a long and thin neck. Its head, says Davis, was also thin and pointy with a long beak. He remembers it had a “crest” on the top of its head. “The body was hump-like, and appeared to be heavy. Thin long legs. The wings were diamond-shaped, and had claws at the end of each wing. A long thin tail. From tip of beak to tip of tail, it was longer than the windshield was wide so we’d estimate the overall length at 4-5 feet. The wing span was wide — when in the open position, the left wing tip was positioned beyond the hood of our vehicle. The bottom half of the right wing was not visible, it was covered by the roof of the car, so we’d estimate the width tip-to-tip to be 6 to 7 feet,” explained Davis. The IT executive thinks the bird looked like a pterosaur, a flying reptile believed to have lived during the Jurassic and went extinct by the end of the Cretaceous, about 65 million years ago. Thunderbird, also known as Roc, is the nomenclature used by Native Americans to refer to bird-like creatures with reptile features that are believed to be related to the extinct reptile.

Summary: A New York street photographer driving to Coney Island reported capturing a disc-shaped object while taking “rapid fire images” of a bridge, according to testimony in Case 70617 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database. The witness was with three friends on their way to pick up another friend on June 16, 2015. “I always carry my camera with me,” the witness stated. “At the time I shot with a Fujifilm XT1 and had it on machine gun mode for rapid shots. We were passing by the bridge as I decided to just rapid fire some shots of the bridge free hand and I did not have my eye sight in my view finder.”
The witnesses’ attention was caught by a flash. “What caught my attention was a sudden string flash at the corner of my eye, kind of like lightening but in the distance. At that moment I took my finger off the shutter and reviewed my photos from the rapid fire when I came across the object.” The witness submitted one image with the case report. Some of the photos taken were later lost. “Unfortunately I did not back up my photos and the other three were lost when my Mac book crashed a few days ago. This is the only photo I have left.”
The witness does not believe the object was visible very long. “The object moved at such speed that I only had it in the frames for about maybe a second or two. It’s also moved from the front of the bridge to out of the frame in that small amount of time.” New York State Section Director Lillian Waters and Field Investigator John Reinhart investigated this case that was reported on September 19, 2015, and closed it as Information Only. “Although not visible to the naked eye, one picture revealed a disc-like object with a dome shaped top,” investigators stated in their report. “The object was very large – possibly 300 feet in diameter – and appeared to have bright yellow-orange external lights.”

Summary: We were driving along the gravel path towards Blue Springs near Eminence, MO. We were on the path off the highway leading towards the spring. I was in the backseat with my two young children and my husband driving the car. I was gazing out the window at the passing trees into the woods when I saw a large, 7 ft black creature with its leather wings folded up at its side and large cat like ears also black and triangular. It’s eyes were yellow and also cat like. Immediately within a few moments I told my husband to stop the car and reverse because I had seen a large cat or bat in the woods and I wanted confirmation. My brain was confused and I couldn’t quickly explain what I had meant. He reversed, but a car was coming up behind us and there wasn’t room on the road for both of us and he didn’t immediately realize the enormity of what I had seen. It was not a tree log, I am sure. We have drove by there since and I assure you I have tried to explain it away. But that is what I was witness to that day, and I needed to share. Thank you. –
