THINK ABOUTIT UFO|ENTITY SIGHTING REPORT
Date: middle of February 1982
Sighting Time: 1800
Day/Night: Night (The time is listed as 1800 in February in Russia, which would be well after sunset).
Location: Borok, Yaroslavl Region, Russia
Urban or Rural: – rural
No. of Entity(‘s): 2
Entity Type: resembles humans
Entity Description: Suddenly two entities appeared in the center of the object. They resembled humans and somehow descended to the ground. They approached to within 3-4 meters from the witness. They moved like normal humans. The two beings were similar to each other. With normal human extremities, but much taller than the witness, at least by two heads. He could see their faces clearly and their bodies appeared to be covered with something like hoarfrost and they appeared to be wearing tricot (flesh colored) tight-fitting outfits. The figures were slender, and slightly fluorescent pink-violet in color. Their hands and fingers glowed pinkish-violet also. The color of their faces was like ordinary humans. However the glow from their bodies prevented the witness from seeing their faces clearly. Their eyes were set close to each other, with beautiful features in the area of the lips and chin. The witness did not notice any hair.
Hynek Classification: CE-III (Close Encounter III) Close observation with animate beings associated with the object.

Summary/Description: Two men, Aleksandr Kozhevnikov and Vitaliy Kozhenkov were photographing sites near a local monument when suddenly Aleksandr noticed his friend suddenly turn pale, like snow, apparently become totally paralyzed. Feeling something wrong, Aleksandr turned around and saw an object shaped like a round loaf of bread, approximately 4-5 meters in diameter, of grayish blue in color. Its hull was slightly shining and it was covered with a dull thin coating.
His first reaction was to photograph the “saucer”. Holding the camera at belly level he pressed the button and the object suddenly began moving and “opening”, with movements resembling that of a flower blooming. He had not seen any jutting constructions on the object; these appeared when the object began to open. Several segments became visible on top of the object; they appeared to move up and down like interlocking pieces. He heard no sound during the “opening” of the craft.
Suddenly two entities appeared in the center of the object.
The figures stopped 3 meters from the witness, who then heard sounds emanating from the beings. The sound resembled “beautiful” music of different tones. They addressed him in a melodic purr. He grabbed his photo camera again and clicked the shutter again. The whole time the entities continued their “singing”. Their mouths were opening and their lips were moving. Amazingly, the witness found himself answering them using the same melodic music or tones. The sounds emanated right from his throat, seemingly against his will. Apparently he was answering by using primitive, one-syllable tones, since his sounds were much shorter than the aliens. He understood that the aliens were telling him to calm down and not to be afraid. But the witness could not remember the contents of the rest of the conversation. He did remember that the aliens told him that they come from a place with three stars. The conversation lasted for about 8-9 minutes. Then they turned back to the object, and entered it. The segments closed and vanished. He did not see the object take off and heard no sounds.
Looking up, he saw the saucer hovering over the forest; it hovered at an altitude of about 150 meters and then just disappeared. The witness attempted to find any ground traces where the saucer had landed but could not find anything. The whole time, his friend Vitaliy remained in the same frozen state. He did not take part of the conversation. But remembered seeing the two aliens, but could not remember much of the encounter. After developing the film he discovered that all the shots were appeared white or overexposed. Soon after the encounter, a sense of calm came over the witness who became more philosophical as to his approach to life.
Researcher’s Notes: The “Loaf” Craft and Melodic Communication
The Borok encounter presents several unique characteristics that distinguish it from many Western CE-III reports of the same era:
-
The “Loaf” Morphology: Describing a craft as a “round loaf of bread” is a specific morphological detail often found in Soviet-era reports. This suggests a robust, seamless hull construction of grayish-blue material that lacks the sharp edges or metallic sheen typical of the “nuts-and-bolts” saucer archetype.
-
Melodic Involuntary Response: One of the most striking aspects of this case is the melodic communication. The witness felt a physical compulsion to respond in kind, with sounds emanating from his throat against his will. This suggests a form of telepathic override or a neuro-linguistic interface where the entities could direct the witness’s vocal cords to facilitate an exchange.
-
The “Hoarfrost” Effect: The description of the beings’ bodies appearing covered in hoarfrost could indicate a temperature differential between the entities and the humid February air, causing localized condensation or crystallization on their suits.
-
Photographic Interference: The overexposed film is a classic “physical trace”. This is frequently attributed to high-energy radiation or intense electromagnetic fields emitted by the craft, which can “fog” film even when no visible light seems to be affecting the camera.
The 1982 Borok incident serves as a profound example of the transformative nature of close encounters. Beyond the physical evidence of the ruined film, the most lasting impact was on the witness himself, who experienced a permanent shift toward a more philosophical approach to life.
The detail regarding a “place with three stars” adds a specific astronomical hook that researchers often look for when attempting to trace extra-planetary origins. While the craft’s departure was silent and instantaneous, the melodic “singing” of the tall humanoids left a resonant mark on the history of Russian Ufology, reminding us that these encounters are often as much about communication and consciousness as they are about unidentified technology.
