Summary/Description: The main witness, (involved in other encounters) a 9-year old girl at the time was playing outside with her brother and other friends a very popular game called “cops and robbers” when suddenly a very strong wind that came out of nowhere was felt by the group. Before reacting to the wind a strange object approached the group, it was about the size of a bus.
The object then stopped and an elevator like door opened, immediately after that an “arrow” like metallic object about 30cms in diameter came out of the craft, terrified the group of children ran from the area and found shelter at the nearby school. The main witness then realized that her younger brother was missing. She ran home and told her family what had occurred.
A large group of neighbors and friends conducted a search for the boy but no one could locate him. However hours later a called was received by local police department from a nearby city, apparently they had found a young boy in a state of shock wondering about their town. Immediately the family drove to the city and realized that it was the missing boy. He was in a state of shock and could not remember anything; he was gravely ill suffering from a number of skin rashes and high fever. The doctors could not help him. He died soon after the incident.
Obviously hypnotic regression was not performed at the time and like many other cases from South America it appears that the boy was suffering from some kind of radiation sickness.
The Tragic Aftermath and Radiation Symptoms
The physical symptoms described—skin rashes, high fever, and a state of shock—are textbook indicators of severe radiation exposure. In the early 1950s, the link between UFO proximity and radiation sickness was not yet a standard part of the investigator’s toolkit, making this contemporaneous report even more significant. The fact that medical professionals at the time were unable to identify or treat the cause of the boy’s rapid decline suggests a source of trauma that was entirely outside their clinical experience.
Cubatao and the “Arrow” Probe
A unique detail in this sighting is the “arrow-like” metallic object, roughly 30cm in diameter, that emerged from the bus-sized craft. This small, secondary object behaves much like a modern-day drone or remote probe, suggesting that the primary craft used specialized equipment to interact with or retrieve the young boy. This mechanical specificity adds a layer of “nuts and bolts” credibility to an otherwise surreal and harrowing encounter in rural Brazil.
