The wife of the owner of a small airport was awakened by a loud whirring sound which seemed to permeate the whole house,. Moments later it stopped. Thinking that an aircraft was about to make an emergency landing, she awoke her husband. Going outside he saw, hovering 8m above a pond between the house and the airport, a strange silent aircraft resembling two metallic shallow saucers, one on top of the other, with a transparent canopy on top. Around the object’s rim were evenly spaced elongated vents emitting soft orange flames. The canopy was illuminated by a softer green glow silhouetting what looked like the heads of two figures. Thinking it was an experimental machine in trouble, the witness walked towards it, yelling and gesticulating. The object then moved silently and smoothly away from him, hovering over some pumps and aircraft at the edge of the airport. The witness again approached with shouts and gestures, whereupon a loud whirring, swishing sound came from the object, and is orange lights began to spin at an increasing rate. Tilting back to an angle of 30 degrees, it then shot away at terrific speed. Simultaneously the yard light dimmed right down, then came back on as the object moved off into the distance. A smell like burnt matches was left in the air. The witness who got within 30m of the object described it as about 15m diameter, 7.5m thick including the dome, with a smooth metallic surface, the dome being made of the clearest material he had ever seen

A couple, making love in the back seat of their car on a deserted road, were startled by a blinding blue light and a tingling sensation. It came from a big ball of bluish light hovering just above the ground alongside the car. When the girl screamed the light seemed to move away, while the hum increased in volume. The light suddenly vanished. The couple dressed horridly and drove away. Though the incident had seemed to last only seconds, in fact 2 hours had elapsed. Both later suffered from severe rashes like sunburn and sore eyes.

The musician Carl Finch and his female cousin were driving back to Texarkana from Shreveport (Louisiana) in the cousin’s Volkswagen along the desolate Hw71 when their headlights picked out a human looking figure running in the same direction at a sizeable pace. They first thought that it was a jogger in a brown coat but then realised it was a hairy biped with long arms and a non-human gait. Once they had passed the creature was lost in the darkness.

Summary: A family of seven driving through a rural area noticed a large disc shaped object descend and land on a nearby field. They pulled over to watch. Stunned they watch a large sedan type vehicle drive off the road and towards the UFO. As the car approached, a door opened on the craft and two men stepped out. Both then entered the car, which drove across the field and into the road, leaving quickly. The craft then rose up and disappeared into the distance.

Chris Holder, a railway fireman was walking to work from his home on the Whiteway Estate, towards a place called “The Hollow”, when, reaching the junction with Kelston View, he saw a green object following the course of the River Avon from the city centre, towards Tiverton, where it passed just above the building line, occasionally going lower. He then lost sight of the thing and continued on his journey. When he reached the bottom of a hill, he saw the thing, a pulsating fluorescent green sphere about 1m diameter, with a row of smaller lights around the base, which were of a colour he had never seen before, come over the roof of a nearby house and come down to 60cm above the ground. It then rose again over a hedge about5m away, and went away across gardens.

Gunner Lundstrom (39), a road worker was driving to work on the road to Reftele, on this dark morning, when he noticed an object surrounded by a red-yellowish glow, above the treetops in the distance., The thing then came down and rushed towards him, just a couple of metres above the road. It was egg shaped and about as wide as the road. Gunner braked hard to avoid a collision and the object rushed over his car. He jumped out and looked back, thinking it had landed behind him, but nothing could be seen. Looking forward again, though, he saw it hovering just above the ground 75m away. It hovered for a while, making a buzzing sound and he could see dark spots along the side. It then moved rapidly away in the opposite direction to its previous trajectory, its colour changing to peculiar greenish-white-blue colour. After some minutes the thing disappeared.

Summary: Sales executive “John Gilbert” reported being abducted and subjected to “several startling medical, biological and sexual experiments” by aliens. His car was stopped at an undisclosed location and he was surrounded by a group of strange men about 3.5 meters tall with broad foreheads, elongated eyes and hawk-like noses. Their eyes disturbed him and as a result he did not look at them too closely, but he got the impression they had no pupils. There was a leader dressed in blue and they spoke amongst themselves in guttural tones. He became confused and faint and was dragged towards the ramp and into a craft, where he was revived and shown into a sort of control-room, then given an explanation of the craft by the “leader”, apparently by telepathy.

Outside they both saw a man holding a red light standing by the car. Using mental telepathy the strange figure asked the male witness several questions then told him to leave the car, the witness was then led off into the darkness. Several personal items were missing from the witness upon returning to the vehicle.

At Cold Lands Wood, near a recreation ground dozens of youngsters reported a huge ball of light, also described as a white, bag like object moving along the grass, leaving tracks. Investigators found a clearing where grass was flattened and noted broken branches of trees, though there was no evidence to link these with the ball of light. At 2135 one evening three people saw a vague white light ascending.

Summary: The main witness had been camping in a wooded area along with three friends. One night he suddenly awoke away from the campsite and out of his sleeping bag. He then noticed a bright light with orange and blue blinking lights in the sky. He woke up one of his friends and both watched the light shoot away at high speed. Later under hypnosis he was able to remember somehow being transported onboard an object by several humanoids (not described) that took him into a chamber with a glass canopy. An instrument was painfully inserted into his rectum and another apparatus collected semen samples.

Summary: 16-year old Linda Lilly woke up one night and saw a large figure towering over her bed. “It was a man,” she said. ” A big man. Very broad. I couldn’t see his faced very well but I could see that he was grinning at me.” Linda got up from bed with a terrible scream. She cried out there was a man in her room. “He walked around the bed and stood right over me”. Linda declared, “I screamed again and hid under the covers, when I looked again he was gone.” She then ran into her mother’s room. When asked for a full description of the man, Linda said she thought he had been wearing “a checkered shirt”. Around the same time, her mother, Doris Lilly began to receive strange phone calls at home. Each evening around 1700 her phone would ring, and when she answered she heard only a bizarre metallic voice speaking in an incomprehensible language. It was guttural and rapid. These calls came only when she was alone.

Summary: One of a series of photos taken in the Huaylas Valley, near Yungay, Peru, by Augusto Arrando, on a hiking expedition in the mountains some 10,000ft (3050m) above sea level. J. Richard Greenwell made strenuous attempts to locate Arrando, but failed to meet the man in person. Hope of authenticating the photos probably vanished forever when Yungay and most of its 20,000 inhabitants were buried by a gigantic avalanche in May 1970.

Mrs Leona Boeving saw a bright light outside her window. It came from a large spherical object with a row of red lights and one, very bright, white light. She woke her daughter and they observed it for about 10 minutes. It was on the ground 450m away and its light was too intense for them to look at it through their field glasses. When they opened the window, it immediately took off, flying east away from the house. Neighbours who visited the site two days later reported a large precise circle of dead clover about 30m diameter in the field, where the crop was brown and crumbly, although it was healthy in the rest of the field.

While driving east on Hw 50, 5km east of California, as he was about to turn to the right on RtK, a motorist saw an unusual bright light approach from the North-East, crossing the railroad tracks at just above treetop height. As he drove along, the witness kept glancing at the object, which appeared trapezoid, with widows, which gave off a light like that of a mercury vapour lamp. The thing tapered somewhat towards the top. About 1.5 times above and to the right of the main structure was a red flashing light, near the front of the bottom was a green-blue light. The windows were between 0a half to two thirds of the way up the thing. When the witness rolled his window down no sound could be heard from the object. It followed the car along Rt K at 105kph, crossed the road, rose to clear electricity wires and then moved off towards the Lake of the Ozarks

Summary: DeWitt Baldwin was raccoon hunting in a woods near Eden when he heard a noise like bees buzzing and flashed his flashlight on a gold colored, unlighted saucer shaped object that had landed on the ground. A sliding door opened and a man emerged dressed in a black, tight fitting suit and wearing a helmet with goggles. He asked the witness some questions, such as what he was doing there at that hour, where he had been born, and then took Baldwin’s gun, looked at it and handed it back. Baldwin claimed the humanoid broke the muzzle of the gun while examining it. Baldwin said, ” He wasn’t white and he wasn’t black. He talked very plainly and with no accent. He had black curly hair.” He told me he would be back, walked up to the saucer, got in and seconds later zipped off out of sight. No imprints or footprints were left in the snow where the object had rested.

Mrs Carolyn Manhood, wife of the green keeper at Canterbury Women’s Bowling Club, went onto the veranda to fetch her small daughter, who had wandered out, when she saw a strange circular object descend out of the clouds and hover over the bowling green. Her sister, Mrs R Coleman was on the phone to their mother, and the phone died as Carolyn screamed out. Mrs Coleman ran to join her and both saw the object at the height of the telephone wires. The thing was plate shaped, dark grey in colour, the size of a small plane and emitting a weird humming sound. After 10 minutes this object disappeared behind the railway lines and seconds later shot up into the sky. They called Mr Manhood who saw the object as being like a balloon high in the sky. At its closest the object was only 30m away.

Along a road northwest of Towanda, several young men saw revolving red, white and blue lights in the vicinity of the water well. City Marshall Virgil Osborne returned to the area with two of the boys, and as the patrol car turned into the roads leading to the wells, they saw the lights rise from ground level to 100m and take off in a south-westerly direction. The lights appeared to be some object of indeterminate shape, and they illuminated the trees by the river as the thing passed at speed.

David Ellis and a friend were driving a few kilometres out of Edmond when they observed two triangular objects at 15m altitude, 40m apart. These objects were identical, 8m across at the base, with windows visible on the side, divided into three sections. Its left hand side emitted a soft red glow, there was a flashing red light in the centre and two red lights were on the right. After some minutes a beam of red light descended towards the witnesses. The then the things moved into a position where one was above the other, and flew slowly towards Edmond. The witnesses followed the objects into town but lost sight of them there.

Charles Fellows and his wife were driving to Sandwich, when they saw a bright white stationary light. The light was on top of a dark “clam shaped” object. The thing followed them for about 20 minutes, moving up and down and changing to a blue-green colour, going below tree level at times. At times it came down to no more than 30m above the car, so close that Mrs Fellows felt she could reach out and touch it. There was a peculiar electrical feeling in the air and their dog became distressed as its hair stood up on end. When they reached Route 113, the thing, which was hovering between two church steeples, went off tom the north east, discharging an electronic “ping”, both heard and felt by the couple in the car.

Summary: On March 5, 15-year’old John Coyle of Hallam, Victoria, Australia, was walking with his | 1-year-old sister. Miriam. thrush farmland near the Hallam railway station to take photographs of a country train due to pass through. The children were on their way home when Miriam saw what she thought was a very Iast airplane coming toward them. Soon it was overhead and circling. John raised his inexpensive (about $1.00) camera and started snapping photos. As he later told the press. his sister was so excited and jumping up and down, that he got nervous and broke the winding knob off the camera. After the object had circled for a few minutes it took off in a straight Line in a westerly direction. The children ran home to tell their parents what they had seen. See photos on this Page APROs Australian representative P.eter Norris, forwarded the photos, and the following information to headquarters: Kodak company examined the photos and were impressed by the consistent shape of the UFO shown in the six prints Mr. Nor ris and his colleagues spend considerable time with the children who seemed to be completely sincere about the incident. The photographs were developed bv a local chemist. so that there was no possibility of any tampering having taken place with the negatives. Hallam is a small, semi_suburban, semi-rural town about 25 miles from Melbourne Six photos were taken altogether, but the object is barely visible in the sixth. The clearest of the five will be presented in this issue. but if space is too limited, two or three of the best shots will be selected and the others omitted.

The two Soderstrom sons, on returning from Vilhelmina alerted their father Erik and the family to an unusual flying object outside Through the kitchen window five members of the family saw, partly silhouetted against the sky, a dark coloured cigar shaped object 25-40m long, 4-8 thick, hovering some 8m above the ground, partly hidden by a barn some 60m from the house. When, after six minutes, the kitchen light was turned on, the large object accelerated away to the north with a whistling sound. At the same time a smaller object shot from the larger one, made a turn and then came back and hovered over a power line some 100m from the house at an altitude of 20m. This object was circular, silvery, apparently metallic, gave off a faint lustreless light and appeared to have a kind of trail. It was 6-12m diameter and hovered for about three minutes, disappeared, returned and then went away to the North West. The whole observation lasted 15-20 minutes.

Summary: ADC radar tracked an unidentified target descending over the Minuteman ICBM missile silos of the 91st Strategic Missile Wing. Base security teams saw a metallic, disc-shaped object ringed with bright flashing lights moving slowly, maneuvering, then stopping and hovering about 500 ft above ground. Object circled directly over the launch control facility. F-106 fighters were scrambled but at that moment object climbed straight up and disappeared at high speed. (Ray Fowler; etc.)

A couple and their two children driving about 15km east of Hayes saw a bright light following their car. It came within 1.5km of the car, at the height of the telephone wires. HUNTINGTON (WEST VIRGINIA : USA)

A Red Cross bloodmobile was being driven by Beau Shertzer (21) and a young nurse down Highway 2 towards Huntington when there was a flash in the woods on a nearby hill and a large white glow appeared and rose into the sky. The object hovered over the vehicle and when Beau looked out of the window he was horrified to see the object lowering a sort of extension towards the vehicle. The nurse saw another extending descend down the other side. As the bloodmobile was accelerated the object kept pace, only retracting the projections and taking off with the appearance of the headlights on approaching cars. Mrs Lucille Drzonek was returning with her two daughters to their Bartlett home, after driving her niece home to Worth. They were passing Keeneyville on US 20 when they what they first thought was a shooting star, until it hovered and they could see that it was a circular object with blinking red lights. As they entered Bartlett the object seemed to descend into a wooded area, its glare lighting up the trees. As they turned to get a better view, the red glow disappeared and a brilliant white object shot out the woods, and shone two beams of white light into the car. The object followed them to their home, where it hovered about 3m above a tree. They woke her son who joined his mother and sisters in watching the thing for an hour, as it rose up into the sky and turned grey. A sort of grey mist descended over the area and when it had cleared the object had gone. Their dog, which was in the car with them, was terrified during the event.

William Wallace and his wife Joan were driving around, looking at the snow covered landscape when they observed a large white light hovering 120-150m over St Leo’s cemetery. William stopped the car and got out. As he did so, the car’s engine, lights and radio all failed, and William felt an electric shock and found himself paralysed. After more than 30 seconds the object moved off, increasing speed and emitting a humming sound as it did so. The car’s electrical system now worked but William felt his movements to be sluggish for about 15-20 minutes after the incident.

Summary: The Moline Sighting And Film Dr. Allen Utke, APRO Consultant and Professor of Chemistry at Wisconsin State University, went to Moline, Illinois, to investigate the March 9th sighting and Filming oI a UFO by William Fisher. His report follows : William Fisher is a 32-year-old patrolman on the Moline, Illinois police force, On March 9, 1967 at 1:30 p.m. he claims to have seen a UFO from the schoolyard of the Sacred Heart School in Moline, Fisher does school traffic duty and rides a motorcycle. He claims Mrs. Leo Schmitz anal Mrs. Frank Daebelliehn had pulled their cars to the curb and were also watching the object. Dr. Utke tried to contact both of these women but was unable to reach them lor comment. According to Fisher, Sister Mary Mark anal some children from the school also saw the object, but Sister Mary Mark is reluctant to discuss it. When Fisher first saw the object he said it was as big as his thumb held at arm’s length. He thought it was at an altitude of about 3000-4000 feet and about 1 to 1r, miles away. IIe estimated it to be about 30-40 feet in length or possibly even larger, The object lirst seemed to be extremely briLLiant and did’t have any definite outline other than that of a football. It then moved away from him into the NNW and seemed to become thinner in shape and less brilliant, Fisher later called the weather bureau and found that the winds were at 4O-45 mph generally from the WNW that day, almost counter to the direction of the object or at least perpendicular to it, Fisher thought the object was following the Mississippi downstream in a rough sort of way. The Mississippi flows from East to West at Moline. He first thought the object might be an aircraft, but soon realized it was not, and he also said he does not believe it was a weather balloon. There was no sound that he could detect, Unfortunately, Fisher did not start – shooting his 8mm movie camera (which he uses in his work) immediately anal also unfortunately the first 10 feet oI that he did shoot did not turn out. The 20-30 feet (30-45 seconds) he does have were taken therefore when the object was quite a bit further away than when he first saw it. The movie only shows a small, whitish object slowly moving into the background, although the ob. ject does seem to tip slightly at one place. There is no change in altitude and no change in speed. The photograph shown with this article is an enlargement (about 5 times) of one of the frames. Fisher was very cooperative aNd Dr, Utke does not feet he elaborated in any way upon what he observed. APRO will obtain a copy of the film as soon as it is available and iI additional frames prove of any worth for reproduction in the Bulletin they will be used in a subsequent issue.

Mr and Mrs R, driving home to Leominster encountered a thick fog as they reached the town, which forced them to drive very slowly. As they passed the cemetery, Mr R saw a light to his left, though his wife did not. Thinking that it might be a fire they drove to investigate. They now both saw the light and drove to within 200m of a brilliant object, shaped like a flattened egg, hovering directly over the cemetery and emitting a sound like a dynamo. As Mr R got out of his car he was paralysed by a kind of electric shock and the car lights, engine and radio died, and his hand was forced down onto the car roof. After 30-40 seconds the object accelerated away. At once the car lights and radio came back. The object, still humming, vanished out of sight in the fog.

Six members of two neighbouring farm families 11.5kn east of Galesburg (two housewives, two teenagers and four children) saw a pulsating red light at treetop level, close to the horizon, between their location and Galesburg. One of the women saw it first and her scream alerted the others. The object was a disc surmounted by a cone and with a rim of irregularly pulsating red lights. It approached closer and then a brilliant white cone of white light seemed to explode from it, towards the witnesses, forcing them shield their eyes. This white light turned off after 10 seconds and then the red pulsating lights were again visible until the object accelerated rapidly off to the north, disappearing behind trees. This was the third UFO experience of the two adult women.

Before they could get out of the vehicle to investigate, they saw a fifty foot wide saucer shaped UFO descend to the ground in front of them. Two bizarre looking “aliens” emerged from the object and walked over to the truck. The humanoids were described as of average height. With large heads, flat on the back, gray in color. They had normal eyes, mouths, and noses. They wore tight fitting gray diver’s suits. The two men reported they felt like they were being bombarded with vibrations and had the uncanny feeling the aliens knew what they were thinking. Rolling the truck windows down, the men spoke to one of the aliens, that reportedly told him that they meant no harm and they could continue their journey if they promised to keep the meeting a secret.

Near the latter were 5 moving black “objects” about 3 to 4 feet high, and arranged in a diamond formation with a fifth at the center; these “objects” seemed to glide over the deep snow, then moved toward the beam of light and when they reached it, both the light and the “objects” faded out of sight. On the Braden property at the south edge of Paragould, Mrs J Braden Hackmanm her two daughters, and one of their boyfriends saw a saucer shaped object floating 50m away, between 6-15m in the air. From it came white lights, which searched the grounds. When Mrs Hackman ran towards it these lights went out and were replaced by red lights that shot out from all sides, like Roman Candles. The witnesses felt a vibration and heard an alternating beeping sound. As the thing came closer it stopped and then left in a few seconds.

On a country road, 1.6km west of town they saw four lights low over the road ahead of them. As they went up a hill, their car engine stopped, and, frightened, they coasted back down the hill, where the car engine re-started. The boys were shaken when they reported the matter to the police, and could only describe reen lights of indeterminate size and altitude. The Rev Terry Nelson reported that while driving between McIntosh and Morristown he also had seen an object with red white and green lights flying parallel to the road.

Through a window in his home, Clyde L Dwyer saw a metallic grey disc or top shaped object, about 30m in diameter about 175-200m away. The main dark surface of the thing was illuminated by street lamps, but around its centre was a row of three square windows, from which a white light shone. In this light Clyde could see people through the windows, two men and a woman in the central one, and two men in the right hand one. He was not able to make out anything beyond their general human appearance. Under these windows were jets of vapour that seemed to come from spots. After about 5 minutes the thing rose and left to the south west/ No sound was heard at any point in the observation.

Three large square windows were spaced around the midline of the object and just below these, jets of what appeared to be steam were emitted continually from a number of equidistant points around the object. Although no distinguishing characteristics could be seen, “these figures were definitely of human appearance.” After hovering for about five minutes, the object gradually departed toward the southwest. Summary: UFO Photographed in Vietnam Stalf artist Norman Duke has forwarded the photo shown, which he obtained from a member of the U.S. Marines Medics in South Vietnam. The serviceman, who will remain anonymous, was riding in the back of a military truck with a group of marines and taking random shots of the area with his Electro-3s Yashica camera. Just before he snapped the shutter for this photo a fast-moving silvery object moved into the view finder from the upper left. He clicked the shutter and his first impression was that the object was a jet. However, it moved on out of sight and he noted that there was no sound made what so ever. No exact date for the photo is known, except that it was taken in mid-March 1967 between Chu-Lai city and their base camp 20 miles north of the city.

Builder’s labourer Birger Lundgren was driving from here towards Kiruna on his way to work a night shift when he noticed two round luminous objects, one smaller than the other, in front of his car. The things followed the cat for several kilometres at only 10m altitude. At times they seemed to go faster and appear as if about to land. The objects remained in view after Birger turned his headlights off, their intense light illuminating the road. When the object vanished, they did so that rapidly that Birger had no idea how it happened. He was so shaken that it took him an hour to drive the remaining 30km to work.

Summary: Polaroid pictures of a metallic disc sighted in Salem, Oregon, were obtained on the afternoon of March 16th by one of- three boys who witnessed the object. (See above and below). Ron Forest of 3045 Windsor Ave. NE, was in the backyard of the Thomas Ronald Baker home at 1893 32nd Ave., NE, when he spotted the object. He alerted the Baker’s sons, Kenneth and Ronald, and Ronald ran for the camera and took the pictures at about 3:30 p.m. The first was taken while the object appeared to be hovering and another about four seconds later as it zoomed away and disappeared  to the \ryesi. boy. agreed the disc was metallic in color and flying very high. They said it didn’t have lights and they heard no sound. “I’m inclined to believe it was a spaceship of some kind,” Forest, 15, said “I have never seen a balloon go that fast,” he added, explaining that the object appeared to hover for a few seconds and then disappeared rapidly to the west. “It was going pretty fast,’ Ken said’ ”But it hovered for awhile and then took off. It disappeared in the distance’ I sorta believed in the stories about saucers, but this Proves it. Ken and Ron Forest are 15’s year old,  at North Salem High School’ ion eaker is a ninth grader at Waldo Junior High.

Mrs Smith and her daughters Cindy ald Lee had just driven into their driveway, when they saw a round shiny object, the size of a house, giving off dazzling light, mainly white but sometimes red, which hurt their eyes. The bottom part of the object was spinning. As the object approached their car lights failed and when Mrs Smith waved at it, the thing seemed to dip. Barry Morris, an assistant storeman was driving his fiancée’s mother Mrs Vera Lidden from St George to Mitchell, along the Mitchell Highway, when, 64km from Mitchell they observed a greenish light, which resolved itself into a bright silvery sphere. It was lost to sight behind trees, but when they turned a bend, they saw, in a clearing, 100m off the road, a hemispherical object 4m high, 5m long, with a flat underside hovering about 30cm above the ground. In its side was an opening, from which came a sort of hatchway leading to the ground. From the interior came a bright blue-white light that illuminated the brush. As Morris approached the thing his car radio failed, though the car lights and engine were unaffected. He drove past the thing at speed. About 3km further on the thing began following them, only leaving when 8km outside Mitchell, The next day Morris returned to the site and found three rectangular holes 15x 30 x 7cm forming an equilateral triangle the sides of which were 1m long.

Summary: A shepherd and his young assistant were walking a herd of lambs along a field when they noticed a bright flickering light above some nearby woods. The light began moving back and forth and illuminated the area like daytime. It then descended behind a nearby ridge and as the witnesses approached, it suddenly rose up and flew towards them. Both could now see that the light was actually a very tall man carrying something in his hand resembling a flashlight, he landed on his feet near the witnesses, which did not noticed any means of propulsion on the humanoid. The figure walked for a few moments then rose up again, flying standing up, again illuminating the area with a bright white light. He disappeared from sight above some nearby trees.

Summary: Going out to look for low flying lights that his wife had seen, Mr. B and his daughter observed two globes of yellow-white light about a mile down the road and 200 feet up. These approached and descended, and appeared to land on the road a quarter of a mile away, but then raced toward the witness’s car at an estimated 70-80 miles an hour. When 50 yards away, they suddenly vanished; the witnesses then saw, at the same spot and in the headlights of the car, a standing group of five expressionless humanoid figures. The car had to swerve around these beings, which were directly ahead of it, to avoid hitting them. They had slit eyes and mouths, pointed noses, and rough looking skin like scar tissue. All wore caps beneath which blond hair was visible; the shortest, only 5-feet tall, had shoulder length hair and may have been a woman. All wore loose fitting gray green shirts and trousers. As the lights approached the car, the daughter had heard “a chorus of voices in my head, repeating, “don’t move.'”

Summary: CNT lineman Kenneth Green and his wife glanced out and saw something move at the top of the 1800hrs.m peak, about 8km away. At first they thought it was a snowmobile and then realised that it must have been an object the size of two freight cars. Through binoculars they saw that it was a wide oval object of brownish colour with a cone shaped light beneath it, which changed colours, mainly between red and yellow. The cone was vertical when the object was stationary and at an angle when it moved. This object slowly descended the mountain, just above its surface until a quarter of the way down it headed over the adjacent mountain and then flew part way back and disappeared in a gap between the peaks. During the 30 minutes it was visible neighbours Mr and Mrs Tom Clare also saw. There were other witnesses. 30 minutes later Kenneth saw a vapour trail in the area.

Summary: About 1,5km west of Hillsboro, Miss Mary Beth Neufeld of Lehigh and several friends had their attention caught by a brilliant light that seemed out of place in the cloudy starless night. They drove towards the thing, whereupon it flashed and came towards them. It was a flat object, surrounded by an inverted cupola. When the object came overhead the car rocked violently from side to side and engine stalled. When the object left suddenly a few moments later the engine restarted itself. The girls then drove to Hillsboro and reported the matter to the authorities.

Two women aged 51 and 25 were awakened by a considerable heat in the bedroom. Through the window, they saw a disc shaped object on the ground. Its surface was illuminated by a soft glow, and a bright circular light was located at its centre. In the lower section was a ring of red lights and lighted panels were evident around it base. This object ascended vertically, stopped briefly and then flew away horizontally, describing two sharp turns before disappearing behind trees. At the site they found an area 16m diameter where the plants were dehydrated. Five holes were found leading away from the area, 90cm wide, 25cm deep, each containing a dark vile smelling liquid. An Air Force investigation did not take away any samples. The site was still barren in 1972.

Air Force Staff Sergeant John Ferguson, his wife and three children were on the FM road, en route from California to Tennessee when he pulled up in the vicinity of Loco to consult his road map. His attention was attracted by a red light, which he first thought was another vehicle until it came close, at which he saw that it covered the width of the road. John now drove off, the object following him at speed up to 160kph, profiling the contours of the landscape. It was gaining on the car when they reached a farmhouse, where the light split into two separated lights and disappeared.

Ken Williams was driving his auto-transport from Laurel to Great falls when about 3km south of the turnoff to Belt, he saw a bright light moving slowly a few hundred metres above the hills. He then lost it to view. On reaching the bridge on the long grade into town, at the top of Belt Hill he saw the object again. It was a huge dome shaped thing, 800m away emitting blinding white light and was at 200mn altitude. He stopped and saw the object descend to on or near the ground in a ravine about 2.5km away. It took off and settled down in a ravine behind a ridge. The light brightened and dimmed three times, becoming blinding at its brightest. At its brightest the light was too brilliant for him to look at. Ken stopped a motorist, Don Knotts, who informed the police department. Patrolman Bud Nader drove to the scene, briefly seeing a light to the right of the Belt Hill en route. Arriving at the scene, he saw a light, like that from a farmhouse, in a ravine, which was too steep to investigate that night. A search next day found an area about 10m diameter of freshly broken twigs and branches, which brakes appeared to have been caused by rotation. Investigations were inconclusive.

A hexagonal object some 10m diameter appeared on the right side of the old Rio-Sao Paulo highway, at kilometre 51, between Itaguai and Camp Grande, and then accompanied a car carrying six people for 50km. The centre of the object was luminous like fire and rotated, while the upper and lower parts were dark. The object seemed to fly in a spiral path at a constant altitude of 15m. The travellers stopped to have a better look and when they turned off , the light, which had also stopped, went out and the object was not visible by the light of the full moon. After 5 minutes they decided to continue their journey and the lights of the object came back on and it continued to accompany them until they came to a place where a hill came between them and the object, after which it did not reappear.

Summary: The Cecil Bailey and Robert Lore families had observed UFOs in the area on several occasions. On the evening of March 26, they were back and Lore and Bailey were in a car driving north of their farms to look for lights that had appeared to land on the ground. In an isolated section of farmland the two men passed a human appearing figure in white coveralls standing alone by the roadside; their dog, in the car, “really kicked up a fuss,” appeared to be terrified. When the men got home, the lights were once more visible in the sky, one bright enough to light up the hill behind it. On returning to the site where they had seen the stranger, the next day, they found numerous nearly rectangular footprints, some of them 9.75″ long and others 8.5″ long.

Summary: Driving home from work in Kent at 0215A, David Morris rounded a bend and noticed an orange red, glowing cone shaped object, 25 feet high and 12 feet wide, hovering several feet above a field to his left. When he looked back at the road he saw four of five little beings running back and forth across the road directly in front of his car. Less than 4 ft tall, they were stocky; and either had abnormally large heads or were wearing helmets; they glowed the same orange red color as the object. He slammed on his brakes, but not in time to avoid hitting one of the little figures, and he saw an arm fly up with a mitten-like hand—no distinct fingers—as the car collided with it. At the same time he smelled a strong metallic odor, “like brass.” He stopped some distance ahead, believing he had struck somebody; looking back, he saw a group of the beings clustered around what was apparently the one he struck. Suddenly realizing that what he hit was certainly not human, he became frightened and “burned rubber” getting away from the place. He arrived at home in a very upset state and later, found that the impact with the being had left dents and scratches on the bumper of his car.

Summary: Antonio de Carvalho and his wife Julieta Cornelia de Carvalho were preparing some roof tile when they noticed a shiny object descending from the sky. The object was totally silent and was gray metallic in color and shaped like a cigar about 5 meters in diameter with oval extremities. It possessed four leg-like protrusions on its underside. As it moved over them a window-like opening became visible and a short human-like figure positioned itself on the ledge, apparently looking at the witnesses. It seemed to be wearing some type of helmet. The craft then floated silently into the distance.

Summary: Two men were out in a vehicle when the engine stopped and the lights went out. Getting out to look for the problem they then noticed a disc ascending rapidly to the sky at thirty degrees south-west, emitting blue to purple glows and flashes from underneath it. It was lost in the sky. Upon trying the engine it started alright.An hour later a stationary purple glow was observed in a creek bed, followed another hour later by a five to six metre disc which shone blue/purple/green/orange/yellow as it took off from the ground, also to be lost to sight in the sky.

On the evening of March 31, Lester Rosas, acting under a strange compulsion, boarded a bus and took it to the end of the line, which happened to be along a coastal area. He kept walking until he reached a deserted part of the beach. Unsure why he was there, he felt an odd sensation as a man who had shoulder length hair and was dressed in a close fitting garment approached him. The man extended his hand, but when Rosas tried to shake his hand, the stranger withdrew it after a mild pressing of palms. The strange spoke in Spanish, and told Rosas that he was from Venus and that his name was “Laan-Deeka.” He then began to discuss the subject of reincarnation, saying that advanced earthlings who obey nature’s laws are permitted to live their next lives on spiritually developed planets. The stranger then led Rosas the other side of a small nearby wall, where they witnessed the materialization of a disc shaped object. A door slide open, and a woman emerged to engage Rosas in a palm-to-palm handshake. “Her hair was long and fair, and she had a fantastic figure…I estimated her measurements at 5’4″ and 37-27-35.” She introduced herself as Laan Deeka’s fiancée. The couple appeared to be no more than twenty years old, but their manner suggested wiser, older persons. They had high foreheads and slightly slanted eyes, his green, hers blue. There was a musical sound to their voices, a sense of joy in their speech and action. The three then entered the ship and flew off to Venus, which proved to be a paradisiacal world reported by other Contactees.

Summary: Carroll Watts, a farmer, had just left his father’s farmhouse; as he drove near his own property, he saw a light near an abandoned farmhouse. Fearing prowlers, he drove to within 200 ft and approached on foot, finding a gray bullet shaped object, 100 feet long and 8-10 feet in diameter, with a 20″ diameter light in its nose, hovering a foot above the ground. Watts walked around the object and, finding the outline of an unopened hatch, knocked on it. A U-shaped door was lowered from the hull, to the sound of a whirring motor; steps inside the door led into the interior of the craft which was illuminated by a bluish-white light and contained instruments and electronic type equipment. On the opposite side of the room he observed what appeared to be a map, about a foot above the floor, about a yard square in size. Shortly after the door opened, Watts heard a mechanical sounding voice, although he saw no one; the voice addressed him by name and asked him to submit to a “strenuous” physical examination, as a prerequisite for being given a ride in the object. Alarmed, Watts quickly retreated and left the area. He reported the incident within days to the local Air Force Base at Amarillo.
