Summary:   Geraldine McNeill was out walking her dog on the sloping ground above Lornshill Academy on the outskirts of the city when her black Labrador started whining with fear and stopped. The dog simply refused to go any further. Looking around Geraldine spotted a strong beam of light shining through a row of trees directly ahead of her. It seemed to be pulsating “on a regular rhythm” and at the same time changing color from pale cream through to yellow to deep yellow, and back to cream again. Ms McNeill estimated that the light beam was about 30 ft across. Clearly, a large object must be at the source of the glow. Baffled and concerned, Geraldine decided to call the police and walked over to a nearby phone box. A couple of police officers arrived shortly and Mrs McNeill suggested meeting, at the back of the Academy so they could get the best view of the strange light. However by the time they met up the pulsating light had disappeared and all that could be seen was a pinpoint of light to the right of the original. The two police officers went to investigate as Geraldine watched anxiously. She saw them reach the spot where the light source had been situated and then walk about waving their torches in every direction. After a few minutes they gave up the search and returned down the slope. It was at this point that Ms McNeill noticed a very strange occurrence. At the spot at the top of the slope where the police had been standing seconds before were two odd figures, walking methodically backwards and forwards. When the police officers came back to McNeill they told her that it had only been a burning long, but that they would arrange for a firefighter to arrive. As they spoke the two figures were still clearly visible at the edge of the trees. She pointed out the figures to the two officers. The two young officers seemed taken aback by this and quickly departed, stating that they would have to write up their report. (!) Apparently the two officers had not seen the strange figures.

Summary:  A witness encountered a humming silver disc-shaped object on the ground. Three short beings only 30 cm tall were seen next to the object. The beings wore silvery-white inflated suits, with round helmets and appeared to be collecting items from the ground around the object. Ground traces and electro-magnetic effects were reported. No other information.

Summary: I`m a graduate at faculty of mechanical engineering. I underwent fighter pilot med-exams and have confirmed excellent eye-vision. I`m also very familiar with all types of aircraft, helicopter, other airborne crafts and satellites, their in-flight behavior and day/night identification. I`m also familiar with stars and other astronomical objects that may be observed with naked-eye or binoculars on night-sky. I wrote complete data of every one of series of events right after they happened. Location: (on the balcony of my house) Ilirska Bistrica, Slovenia Air temperature: +4°C Clouds: 0/8 (clear) No sighted air traffic (3 nm west of Il.Bist. there is a VOR/DME/NDB beacon) No moon. Hale-Bopp comet behind the horizon for almost an hour. Light pollution of sky minimal. Car traffic in vicinity: 2/min Observer in dark area, no lights in field of vision. Event: After the event that occured the day before, I observed southern skies approx. half an hour, naked eyed. I just wanted to go inside when a dark object flew over the town of Ilirska Bistrica, parallel to the valley in which the town is located (ie vector 150° ). I observed object at elevation of 20°, angular size 3.5°.

Duration: Approx. 1.5 second Appearance: Object flew in the direction of 150°, straight. I started to observe it when it appeared from behind the roof of our house and stopped when it disappeared in light-polluted air low over the horizon. The observed flight path was 20° angular size. The main part of the object was dark, you could not tell what shape it was, you just noticed that your view at the background stars was blocked by something moving and black. At the end of this black mass, there were 4 white lights (I`d say they were about at visual magnitude 4 or 5), at equal distances in a line. Between every two strong lights there was a weak light, not the half way in between, but a little up and right. Those weaker lights were also at equal distances and in a line, that was paralel to the line of the strong lights. From the direction of motion, paralel movement of all lights in that direction and the perspective changes, I can tell by feeling that the object was close and low over the town. I`d put its route over the local factory. And by the movement through the air, you could just tell that the two lines of lights are perpendicular to flight path. After it passed by, I heard a one second long weak buzzing noise. Like the sound of tyres rolling but buzzing and much more quiet than car tyres. The sound pitch was lowering as the object egressed, like the doppler effect. Angular size of object: approx. 3.5° Angular velocity: approx. 7°/sec.

My conclusions: The four strong lights were at equal distances and always in the line, at their fixed positions. No smoke trails behind. If they were parts of a meteor broken by Earth`s tidal forces, they would go apart, they`d be much more close together, their light intensity would change and they would leave smoke trails (I`ve seen a few meteor break-ups, and I know how they look like). The weaker lights were also at equal distances and formed in a line that was paralel to the line of the stronger lights, but they were located a little to the right and up from the strong ones. I don`t know about the size of the object. If I assume it was about 20m wide, then the 3.5° angular width would give it the distance of 320m. That would go together with that feeling of mine plus the sound did not come to me immediately, but with approx. one second delay. So, that would put the object over the factory 300 meters away at about 150 meters above ground level. Assumptions. Later comments: I read in a paper that there was a scramble alert in USAFB Aviano, Italy (which is located at 300° 80nm from sighting location) on the 11th of March 1997 due to a wave of UFO sightings over the base. I don`t know if the news is valid, but I seek explanation of this and my further two sightings in it. Added in November 1997.

Summary:  David Roth and a friend were walking on Centennial Park when suddenly they heard a loud, almost unbearable whirling sound directly above them. As they looked up they were engulfed in a bright white beam of light and were unable to move. They then saw directly above them, no more than 50 feet away, a large silver-disc shaped object with several multi-colored lights around its perimeter and a large light source in the middle of the base emitting a beam. The light and whirling sound increased its intensity and both then apparently lost consciousness. They woke up the next morning in the middle of a field in the park. Their clothes were singed and burns covered their entire bodies. His friend had a strange circular scar on her temple and suffered from amnesia for several days. David’s fingernails on his left hand had fallen off and have not yet grown back. His friend feels like she is being followed and watched, and along with several other friends have seen odd figures moving around her house on several evenings.

After dropping of his girlfriend at her house, Juan Sudarsky was walking home alone. Suddenly he felt very cold. He then saw a purple light drop from the sky, at the same time hearing a loud high-pitched screeching sound, he also felt dizzy. He fell to his knees sweating profusely. Then an orange beam of light suddenly appeared next to him. Several bizarre medium sized creatures then appeared out of the beam. They were described as having only one eye and with large antennae that radiated an odd blue light. They had a strange orifice where their mouth should have been. The creatures emitted intermittent screeches of varying frequencies. The witness apparently understood them in his mind. The creatures then formed a circle around Sudarsky. One of them approached and touched his forehead. He then heard a mental message in perfect Spanish, telling him to guard the planet against pollution, that theirs was almost totally ruined, that there were only 50 of them left. Soon they flew back into the purple light via the orange beam of light. Before leaving, their leader showed Sudarsky a strange communicating device.

Light pollution of sky zero (rural area). Car traffic in vicinity: zero Wind: none Observer in dark area, no lights in field of vision. Event: I was lying on a deck chair looking straight up, covering approx. 80° left and right, 30° down and 70° up from vertical line (legs facing west). After observing stars through binoculars for a while, I decided to proceeded naked-eyed. After a while an object appeared from behind the top of the roof of house where I was. Size of object was approx. 20° times 6°, movement vector 120°, no sound, 15° per second. I tracked it over 90° of sky for 6 seconds. Object was composed of numerous lights (approx. 30 of them), at visual magnitude of +6. Flight path of object went through Coma Berenices and Leo. Object was transparent (stars behind it were visible). As said, object came in from the direction of my legs, proceeded through zenith after what I stood up, turned around and watched it egress behind the roof of neighboring house. After this event (after 10 minutes) I observed 4 satellites in 2 minutes time. Besides lights (star-sized) no other visible parts. Nor the object neither the lights left no smoke/fire trails. During movement the shape of object remains unchanged (position of lights), heading and speed also. Light color: white, (none of them is blinking, all the same intensity) No sound during the observation. In fact, no ambient sounds at all, 15 mins before till an hour later. Angular size of object: approx. 20° x 6° Angular velocity: approx. 15°/sec. Conclusions: Due to slow movement, no sound, transparent appearance, formed of approx. 30 star-sized lights of equal intensity in roughy wedge formation (bird-like formation) symmetrically positioned in general, I assume I saw a very large formation of smaller crafts (indefinable shape) flying at very high altitudes or even in orbit. On a property outside of Portland, two children (11 & 9) saw a large ball of silver blue light hovering about a meter above a paddock about 30 meters away from the house. The grass beneath the object was “moving and swirling.” The children saw details on the object including something like a “door” and possible appendages. Their mother verified the presence of the object, but she seemed “mesmerized” and kept talking on the phone with a friend, with the children still outside. After 30 minutes the phone cut out. She loaded a gun and went outside, walked around the house to ensure there were no intruders, virtually ignoring the UFO, which was still present. She felt inexplicably tired and just walked passed the children back into the house and lay down and seemingly “blacked out.” She apparently woke up around midnight, showered and went to be, “as if she were in a trance,” without checking on the kids. She woke up in the morning feeling terrified, and found both of the children sleeping peacefully in their beds. She went outside and verified at the spot where the object had been hovering “a strange 12 ft diameter of swirled grass. It was discolored, a strange purple color with brown areas which appeared to be burned or affected by intense heat.” During the next few months there was unusual activity of “unmarked helicopters” in the area. The children began to recollect further details. One of them had 3 strange red spots on a foot. The girl had an unusual “scar” on the back of the neck that could not be accounted for. She also saw a strange “person” outside her window. Under hypnotic regression an apparent abduction milieu was developed, particularly involving the children. No details on that.

Summary:   At an isolated ranch in Northeastern Utah barking dogs alerted a team of investigators to something lurking in a tree near the ranch house. Tom Gorman grabbed a hunting rifle and took off in his truck toward the tree. Two NIDS staffers followed in another vehicle. Up in the tree branches, they could make out a huge set of yellowish, reptilian eyes. The head of this “animal” had to be three feet wide, they guessed. At the bottom of the tree there was something else. Gorman described it as huge and hairy, with massively muscled front legs and a dog-like head. Gorman who is a crack shot, fired at both figures from a distance of 40 yards. The creature on the ground seemed to vanish. The thing in the tree apparently fell to the ground because Gorman heard it as it landed heavily in the patches of snow below. All three men ran through the pasture and scrub brush, chasing what they thought was a wounded animal, but they never found the animal and saw no blood either. A professional tracker failed to locate anything. At the bottom of the tree, they found and photographed a weird footprint, or rather, a claw print. The print left in the snow was from something large. It had three digits with what they guessed were sharp claws on the end. After analysis, and incredibly, the print closely resembled that of a velociraptor, an extinct dinosaur made famous in the Jurassic Park films.

Summary:  This event occurred at about 1:10 AM on March 14, 1997, about 18 miles southwest of Tucson, Arizona. At that time I was a 42 year old electronic engineer who operated a small home business, doing contract jobs for various clients. I had lived in Tucson for some time, and felt that the city was too noisy for me to concentrate on my work. I wanted to live in a quiet rural area where I would not be disturbed, and in 1996 I purchased a house in a sparsly populated area southwest of town. I had a neighbor across the road from me, and there was an unoccupied house further to the north. My property extended about 100 feet from the front of the house, and then there was a barbed wire fence. It had 5 wires, the top one being about 4 feet high. It was usually quite dark at night out there, however I had installed some floodlights on the front of the house, which I could turn on if needed. I went to bed around 10 PM, March 13, and was sleeping soundly when the event began. I was awakened around 1:10 AM, March 14 by the sound of someone attempting to open the bedroom window, about 6 feet away from me. The sound was like nails on a blackboard. The window was on the front of the house, and consisted of double-pane glass with track-locks on it, and a set of blinds which were closed. Although I could not see who was trying to get in, I had a profound feeling of being in mortal danger… as if whoever was outside meant to do something terrible to me. I’ve always had a good sensitivity to the feelings of people and animals, and I was confident that what I felt was genuine. As quickly as I could, I rolled out of bed, away from the direction of the window, and grabbed a 12 gauge shotgun from the closet. At this time my emotions changed from fear to intense anger and a strong determination to kill the attempted intruder, if he got in. I pumped a shell into the chamber, which made an audible noise, then ran to the living room window, which was only about 10 feet from the bedroom window, also on the front of the house. That was where the switch for the floodlights was located. I hit the switch, and was totally shocked when I saw this thing, which was now moving away from the house towards the fence. I got a pretty good look at the back of it, for about 5 seconds. It was definitely not human. It was about 6-7 feet tall and had a large head, similar in shape to a football helmet. It was very thin and the arms were quite long. It wasn’t exactly running, but it was moving smoothly and very quickly. It reached the fence in just a few seconds, and then, without slowing down, it jumped right over the fence like a hurdle jumper in the Olympics, and kept on going. It continued down to the wooded area where the unoccupied house was, and within about 30 seconds I saw a disk shaped object rise up from there, and move off towards the south. It was about 40 feet in diameter and passed by the front of my house at a distance of about 130 feet, about 60 feet above the ground. It had steady yellow-redish lights on the bottom of it and made no sound that I could hear. My state of mind collapsed into total shock and an overwhelming feeling of fear. All I could think of was what might happen if it came back. I spent the rest of the night virtually paralysed with fear, hiding behind a couch in the living room, clutching the shotgun. When the sun began to come up, I started to regain some of my senses. I carefully went outside and looked around. Everything seemed normal, except that by my bedroom window I found some footprints. There hadn’t been much rain and the ground was rather hard, but a few of the impressions were fairly clear. The prints were about 10-11 inches in length, very thin, and with 3 large toes. I should have photographed them, but at the time my only concern was my own safety, and I decided to go to a hardware store and get some bolt locks to secure the doors. This I did, and on the way back I stopped at a small cafe a few miles from my house, to pick up some coffee and breakfast. I entered the cafe, ordered some food, and then noticed that a casual friend of mine was there. He lived in a trailer a few miles to the south of me. When I saw him I simply said “man, something really weird happened last night” and he replied “you’re not kidding… a UFO came up the canyon”. I was startled to hear that, and asked him “what time ?” and he replied “about a quarter past 1”. When he said that I panicked and left the cafe without even taking my coffee or food. (Some months later I actually tried to find him, to ask him for some details, but I was told he had left the area back in March…) Anyway, I returned to the house and installed the locks on the doors. The following day I went into town and purchased a bunch of heavy plywood, and boarded up every window in the house. I didn’t have a television and didn’t happen to catch any reports about the so-called “Phoenix lights” until several years later. As to reporting the incident, I considered it but was doing some military contract jobs and was afraid that I might be typed as a lunatic or a security risk and lose my clearance… and in addition I simply had no desire to talk about it. The whole thing was just too disturbing. Eventually I moved away from that area, and although it’s been a number of years since it happened, I’m only recently feeling able to talk about it. –

Summary: Giovanni Domenico and his son observed a strange flying figure of humanoid form approaching from a nearby mountain at about 10-12 meters from the ground. They observed the figure for about 10 minutes. They describe it as small and ungainly in appearance, about 1.20 meters in height and was flying at a low rate of speed. It had a large hairless head, disproportional to the rest of its body, which was dark gray in color. Its eyes were large and green in color and the nose was small and a little bit protruding. Its body was thin and delicate and appeared to be wearing a form fitting dark blue suit. The humanoid seemed to be scanning the fields by turning its head slowly to the right and left. The witness noticed something suspended just above the humanoid’s head that rotated like the rotor blades of a helicopter. The strange humanoid disappeared into the distance and was probably seen by other witnesses in the area

Two police officers patrolling the area of Torroella de Montgrit spotted a huge yellow light up ahead, as they approached, the light became dark orange in color and in the center of it, a 4 meter tall dark human like shadowy figure could be seen. One of the officers exited the vehicle and attempted to photograph the spectacle but the light then dimmed, became oval in shape and everything vanished. Upon investigating the site the next day they found a flattened circled of grass on the ground.

A male witness driving on Rt. 4, saw several golf sized balls of light that flew & zig zag near his car mirror only a yard away. He then heard a voice in his head that told him to turn around and drive west. At the same time the lights continued next to his car, blinking rapidly as they moved. The witness refused to cooperate and feels the lights and voice became “upset”. He was then told to turn “now” and saw four balls of light hovering over the hood of the car. Suddenly he lost control of the car and it increased speed heading west then turning north on Priest Road. He heard the voice again telling him to stop. He stopped the vehicle under some power lines. There he saw only 2 feet off the ground a hovering smooth cylinder shaped craft, the size of a small bus. He was then told to stop investigating UFOs, and was then told about other personal family matters. The object came closer and he felt a strong energy field. The craft then suddenly rose above the power lines then shot away at high speed.

Summary: The witness had gone out about a mile from his house to film the Hale Bopp comet when he saw a bright square shaped light hovering overhead. It started getting very cold and the witness noticed an odor resembling ether. He kept filming the object. Soon he went home and was told that he had been gone for 4 hours. He thought he had been away for only 45 minutes. He was also told that an unknown bright craft had flown at low altitude over the house. Later when he checked the video he claimed that he had captured the object and strange beings on the film. No other information.

Summary: A friend and I saw a strange low altitude bright object flashing orange and green rotating colors on Easter night in Juneau,Alaska. When seen through my telescope (we were looking at the comet and the planets),it had this strange light and dark light,pattern or field around and above it, like light diffraction patterns. No other stars were as low or had that effect. I could not see colors with telescope. Only by naked eye observations. I was visiting a friend and she and I were looking at the comet on Easter night and she said hey, look at that satellite! I was facing north and I focused my Meade telescope on it. It was flashing orange and green in a rotating fashion…I then looked at it through my scope and to my surprise I couldnt detect the colors!Instead it had this really weird light field…of dark and bright lines above and around it…like a light diffraction pattern.The object was really bright white with those strange lines going around it in a strange striped pattern. The colors could not be detected with the scope! I then thought it was my lens so I focused on a bright star and the patterns were not present on anything else!When I looked again with just my eyes I saw the flashing rotating orange and green lights but when I used the scope, all I saw was the strange dark and light patterns. It was low in the sky, and stationary. I was facing north and it was to my right. I looked at it off and on for about 2 hrs. while checking out the comet and mars.I went home, I live a block away, and when I got to my house and looked up again to find it,it was not there–to my right! I was still facing north. I looked to my left and there it was! It was so close(low)that a one block drive was enough to move it over. So it means it was positioned in between my friends house and mine! I dont think high altitude geosynchronous satellites would be low enough to cause that much of a difference if I moved only a block away! Plus later, after 2 days of clouds, it was no where to be seen! Ive never seen anything out of the ordinary before. I know what Venus and mars and the other planets look like through my scope, so I’m sure it wasnt a planet!My friend saw the colored lights, cause she pointed it out to me, but she went into her house while I stayed outside and looked at the sky and the “object”. It was too cold for her! I didnt really think too much about the strange eerie lights until I got home and realized that the object was WAY TOO LOW,cause it moved to my left, to be a satellite like my friend first thought it was.

Summary: 4 ships, one comet, and a bright light out of no where After dinner at a local restaurant, my husband and I decided to take a look at the sky. We were hoping to see a clear night so we could later come back and photograph the comet.We drove out to the airport farthest from town. The road going in is dirt, and scary, but he grew up here, where I am from the east coast of the states. To me, it was extremely dark out, even with the clear sky.When we arrived at the final part of the road into the airport, we were facing an south easterly direction. In front of us in the sky, were some objects flying from east to west, as best I could tell.I asked my husband to stop, and we got out and watched them fly just under mars and disappear. Later I discovered he had seen two objects closer to the horizon, flying west to east, and flying in a closer formation than what I saw. They were orange in color, and round in shape, but also very far away.They were also flying to fast to be the usual satellite, and too high up to be a plane.I’d seen a light like that last year while looking up at the comet of 1996, while at a pit stop, so I didn’t think much of it.There is a light at the actual airport that didn’t give us very good viewing of the comet, so we drove back onto the road where we could see. We looked around, and decided to go back home for the camera as picture taking would be excellent, and saw a car comingtowards us. He started up the car, and we took off to home, when out of my window, facing mars, I saw the light returning from the west…just one. I asked him to stop again, I see it I said. As soon as I said it, the object turned straight towards usand I started to scream to him, oh my God, it’s coming at us! They’re coming for us! I was so scared, and it seemed to fly from a high altitude to a lower one, at which point I began to get very afraid, and I started to yell at it to go away, that we didn’t want it here, and it couldn’t take us.By the time he had stopped and turned off the car, the object was already speeding away up into the sky, and as he jumped out of the car, I saw the last of it disappear.It happened so quickly, and I was so afraid that we went home to calm down a bit….he still wanted a picture of the comet, and I wasn’t about to stay home alone, so I went with him, and we saw nothing, probably because we were prepared with a camera this time!Just this past weekend, a friend of ours said they saw something similiar flying over Hinton, around three am, when he was driving back from Edmonton.I also note that an earthquake, unusual for this area, happened the morning before our sighting, and was a 4.2 (?) located just southeast of Jasper. I reported this to a an association up here called AUFORA, but I haven’t heard anything from them. We also checked the flight log at the airport when we went back, andthere was no flight recorded, although there was a plane landed from out of town, and a few unoccupied cars.My husband and I are 30 and 24 repectively, and lead fairly normal lives. Both of us have art degrees, and are planning our first business venture as I write this.
