Summary: Recently in this area there have been sightings of an entity with simian characteristics, an elongated muzzle and considerable agility apparently related to attacks on farm animals. On this night, at around 23:30 the Hernandez family was in the back of their property involved in an appetizing cookout when suddenly Mercedes Hernandez, who was concerning herself with the meat roasting on the grill, felt “someone” tossing cherries at her. Her first thought was that a family member was playing tricks on her, but faced with the shower of cherries that were falling around her she managed to determine that the action emerged from a nearby tree. The tree was no more than 10 meters distant from the place where the meat was roasting, and she approached it. Her initial impression was to feel that someone was chewing, making noises as they ate something. But upon coming closer, she noticed a pair of shiny, reddish eyes looking at her from the middle of the tree. The being—or whatever it was—rested in a seating position, settling between two branches in a “T” shape. Given the strangeness of what she was seeing, she immediately called her husband, who also saw the being and thought to grab a water hose to scare it away with a well-aimed stream. While this action was taking place, the strange entity leaped from the tree with tremendous strength, jumping over a wall or partition adjoining a neighboring property, containing pens with geese and ducks. Being that it was a splendid moonlit evening; Mercedes was able to make out the details of the being’s physical characteristics. Mercedes oral description disclosed characteristics similar to other sightings made elsewhere in the world, although here, according to the witness, there was a larger corporal mass, which she noticed when the strange being leaped from the tree to the nearby partition. This sudden action caused several tree limbs to shatter right to the top, even giving the impression that the tree had split in two. Furthermore, Mercedes added: “The leap and the creature’s dropping to the other side of the wall was very forceful, and the sound was perfectly audible.” Mercedes also stated that she was certain that there was a sign of intelligence in the creature’s pitching cherries at her back, and she even thought for a moment that it was interested in the meat being roasted. She also added that on that day, her favorite pets—a Maltese dog and a cat— were restless the entire day, and that at the time of the sighting, ran and hid under a washbasin, whining and growling in true fear and dread. Mercedes’s husband confirmed his spouse’s impressions. He confessed that his initial intention was to hose it down with the garden hose but he didn’t get to do this, as the strange creature’s leap was sudden and startling.

Features: Textured body like fur; moved with a gliding motion on two legs without walking.
Summary: The witness was sitting by a window across from a highway and a large cliff. She would usually look off into the cliff/hillside and stare after working with her laptop, possibly in an attempt to gain inspiration for her writing. One day as she took a pause from her writings she looked towards the cliff to see the red soil and dry grass covering a majority of the hill, that’s when she saw something moving on two legs. It didn’t seem to be walking but glided. In the time it would take four or five cars to pass the main street, this thing had cleared almost the entire hillside, and started disappearing from view. Whatever it was it wasn’t in the shape of any human she had ever seen. It was some sort of huge figure/creature pitch black from head to toe its body was textured like it had fur, and probably about 8-9 feet tall. When she first saw how fast it was moving, before she thoroughly observe it she thought maybe it was someone riding a horse. But it couldn’t have been that because she noticed it was moving both of its legs. The strange dark figure eventually glided from sight of the witness.

Summary: During a spate of bizarre animal mutilations in the area including attacks on horses and mules and the strange decapitation of several newborn piglets a man living in the Vista Hermosa suburb heard noises and reported seeing a bizarre hairy entity resembling a ‘monkey’ that was grappling with a cat. At first he could only see its back but when it turned around, the startled witness saw as the hairy creature rose up into the air and floated away carrying the unfortunate cat with it. Others in the area have reported seeing the same creature and there have been attacks on cows, goats, dogs and other animals in the area.

Summary: The witness was driving home from work and was only two miles from her residence located in a very rural area south of Falls Village. The roads were still dark from the heavy snow they had received so she was driving very deliberately. All at once, a deer jumped from behind a snow bank and bolted in front of her car. She slammed on the brakes but still skidded into the back of the deer. She didn’t see where the deer went, but she was not stuck in the snow bank. She got out and noticed that her driver’s side headlight was smashed as well. She tried to push the car out of the snow bank but it was not budging. So she had no other choice but to call for a tow truck. About 15 minutes after she called for help one of her neighbors was on his way home and stopped to ask if he could help. She told him that she had called for a tow truck but she didn’t know how long it would be before it showed up. He said he would go home get some chains and return with his 4-wheel drive pickup in order to pull her out. She thanked him and he left. Not long after her neighbor left, she noticed lights coming toward her on the road. The lights were large and very bright, so she figured that it was the tow truck. As the lights slowly proceeded towards her, several more lights illuminated above and below the others. The vehicle or whatever it was, stopped about 50 yards from her and remained there for several minutes. Then all of the sudden she saw a brightly lit ‘being’ floating through the woods across from her. It reminded her of those bright white aliens from the ‘Cocoon movie’ though she didn’t see any facial features. This being quickly floated through the trees then out onto the road. It started to come toward her but she was petrified and could not move. It didn’t have arms or legs but there was definitely a head and something on the end that resembled a fish tail. It stopped directly in front of her and hovered no more than 10 feet away. There were no eyes or mouth, but she did feel warmth coming from it. It was very calming and comforting. Then it suddenly whisked towards the lights. After a few minutes the bright lights started to fade until they were completely gone. Her neighbor soon returned as well as the tow truck operator. She asked them both if they had noticed any vehicle with intense bright lights but they both looked at her like ‘she was crazy’. After they pulled her from the snow bank she drove home, quickly took a bath and headed for bed. She was still feeling the calming sensation and desperately wanted to go to sleep.

Summary: The main witness (involved in other encounters) woke up in the middle of the night to a strong glow lighting up the bedroom and coming in through the window. Looking outside he saw a hovering triangle-shaped craft hovering at about 50 meters away. He went back to bed and saw what looked like a “hand” on the wall just above the bed, he tried to wake up his wife but she was fast asleep. After 15 seconds the ‘hand’ just vanished and the witness then thought that he had been dreaming but at that moment his wife suddenly opened her eyes and they were completely black “as the night”. He tried to shake her awake but to no avail. He then heard a soft whispering sound at the foot of the bed, he looked up and saw a short blue ‘alien’ at that moment his wife ‘woke’ up and looked at it as well. They stared at it for about 30-40 seconds then they both passed out and they both experienced the same ‘dream’ of handing each other red glowing orbs. At 3am they again woke up with a headache and neck pain.

Summary: Four men were driving through pastures checking on crops and cattle when suddenly a strange fireball-like object came swooping down the tree line and landed on the pasture. At that moment their truck radio went to static and all the watches stopped working. They drove closer to the object and as they neared they were overwhelmed by its size. At this moment they all began to feel sick to their stomachs. They looked around and all the cattle had run away and were hiding behind a nearby barn. As they turned back around they saw a human-like figure ‘eject’ from the rear of the craft and land on the pasture, it was glowing white in color. It was hard to see any details on the figure. The main witness then exited his truck and began to search for his rifle when the figure began making strange foreign noises. He thinks it was a form of communication. The figure began walking around the pasture apparently looking for the cattle. It never seemed to acknowledge that the witnesses were present. It then began to walk towards the barn and the main witness screamed and ran towards the figure. The figure stopped and stared directly at the witness, it appear to mean no harm but it ‘had a terrifying stare’. As the witness approached it, the figure took off in a sprint, jumped into the air and into craft which then took off and disappeared towards the south at high speed.

Summary: During the months of February and early March several residents living in the communes of Peñaloen and La Reina both Santiago suburbs have reported seeing a strange flying creature which perches on trees close to local residences. Businessman, F. A. reported that one night close to 23:00 while sitting in his garden in an attempt to cool himself from the oppressive heat was suddenly stunned to see a strange creature resembling a ‘flying manta ray’ estimated to have been almost 2 meters in height, dark in color and with what the witness described as a peculiar ‘gelatinous texture’. The flying creature descended and perched itself on top of a nearby tree at which point the witness noted that it had bright reddish colored eyes. The witness ran into his house and armed himself with a wooden club in order to defend himself if necessary. But at this point the creature took off and left the area. Other witnesses describe the creature as resembling a ‘giant bat’. Both communes are located close to the periphery of the Cordillera
