Summary: I was sitting in my hot tub around 12:30 am. Looking West, I saw a dark triangle shape slowly fly over my house . It was oriented with one point leading, and the two rear points had a white light on each point. it’s apparent size was about what you would get if you cut a paper plate into a triangle and held it at arms length. it flew for about 10 seconds until it was almost due North of me. It stopped and hovered for about 5 seconds, then rotated 180 degrees again over about 5 seconds. Once it stopped rotating, it paused for a second or two, and then two lights shot due North and due East to the horizon in seconds. My eyes followed the light going East and when I looked back the triangle was gone. My impression is that the triangle itself “broke” into two pieces. As far as size and elevation I’m guessing, I have nothing to reference it to. It could of been big and low, or huge and very high. I live in the flight path of an airport, so I’m used to seeing planes come in and what size they are, but with this I just couldn’t tell. One of the strangest things about it to me is that even though I KNOW I saw it, even while I was looking at it there was a sense of doubt about what I was seeing, and to this day there is a sense of dread talking about it to the point it took months to report it.
