Summary/Description:  Five witnesses were traveling on an isolated dirt road in their Citroen 3CV in search of a local popular sanctuary called “Difunta Correa”. Driving was “Carlos”; next to him were his sister Elena and her sister. Carlos’s father and brother were in the back seat. As they traveled the isolated path they observed what appeared to be “an ambulance” light ahead on the hilly winding road. Immediately they assumed that there must have been an accident and they kept on.

For the next hour or so the light was always visible and now it appeared to be directly in front of them but at a considerable distance still. As they continued their journey they were somewhat perplexed as the light seemed to maintain the same distance from them at all times. They thought that fatigue was getting the best of them. Suddenly the light began approaching their vehicle at very high speed and Carlos took precautions thinking that it was a large truck. But they were stunned as the now extremely bright light seemed to illuminate the surroundings like daytime. The light was now only a few meters from the startled witnesses as the Citroen coasted to the side of the dirt road its engine apparently dead.

The now terrified witnesses could see the bright light was now on the ground, on the side of the road but could not see any concrete form or object behind it. Carlos and his father (both military men) decided to exit the car to investigate (both were armed with guns). As his father attempted to approach the light from behind, Carlos remained behind leaning against the vehicle, while the other 3 passengers stayed inside. After about 3 minutes (which for them it seemed hours) the light dimmed and then retreated in the same direction it had first come from. The whole area was now totally dark and both men now re-entered the Citroen. Carlos now was able to start the motor and continued their journey.

Years later the surviving witnesses were able to remember further details of what had actually taken place: While Carlos and his father had gone outside to investigate the light, Ana remained inside in a strange state of malaise and grogginess, both men could see the light which was only a few meters away. Carlos could not remember when his father walked towards the light and thinks his father “was taken against his will”. He could also not explain his actions as he remained standing next to the vehicle with his gun in hand.

The rest of the vehicle occupants, including Ana, were now apparently in a deep trance-like state. Ana suddenly seemed to snap out of this state and she noticed that “somebody was missing from inside the car”. She tried to look back but now noticed what appeared to be a “figure” or form approaching their very tall humanoid dressed in luminous white clothing that stood next to her window. The being appeared to have a “very kind face” and exulted kindness and peace. But at the same time, she felt terror and began screaming and begging “please don’t take my sister”. At that same moment, she remembers seeing the humanoid touching her sister’s hair, which caused further terror on the witness.

It was still not clear what had occurred to Carlos and his father as they tried to approach the strange light. According to Carlos, they had attempted to walk towards the embankment in order to “surround” the light, but according to Carlos, he was not able to move from the side of the car. At this point Anna was able to see two other similar entities to the one that was standing next to the vehicle, “drag” her future father in law towards the light, it seemed to her that he was resisting. Carlos remains confused as to the sequence of events at this point, and thought that his father was “inspecting the object”. Years later Ana agreed to be part of a hypnotic regression session by the investigators and was able to remember further details. Despite her terror, the tall figure next to the car inspired her “a certain peace or tranquility”.

She believes she heard words inside her head, which attempted to calm her down, but her greatest fear was of being taken to the object just like her future father in law had been. At the same time, her sister and her future brother in law remained in a “deep sleep” inside the vehicle. Finally, when the five witnesses were able to continue on their journey, they stopped at a fuel station on the San Juan route in order to obtain further supplies and fuel. There Carlos spoke to the attendant and asked him if he had seen any “large trucks” or other objects on the route, the man said he had not. 34 years later Carlos father has died taking with him any details of what had occurred to him that night, Ana’s sister and Carlo’s brother refuse to talk about the incident to anyone.
