Summary/Description: Seen by at least 2 people in 5-10 minute interval. Occasionally, another witness was my co-worker, and we were going to the same place, so we discovered that we both saw this object. How many other witnesses there were – only lord knows.

Here’s what I saw. I got up from subway, and I got to walk for about a quarter mile. As I looked up (it was a clear sky evening, it was dark), I saw a red or orange dot in the sky. It was in the north part of the sky (and I was walking to the north), about 70 degrees above the horizon. At that moment I realized that this is not a star, or a planet, because I have a good knowledge in astronomy. It was as bright as Venus in it’s brightest periods. Object was not moving, or at least it hasn’t any major movements, I was still walking and checking object for any movements only by it’s position relative to the nearest stars. Definitely it was high, at least 2-3 thousand feet.

It could be much more, it was impossible to define that. Then, in about a minute object began to slowly move to the east. It moved evenly for 5-10secs, and smoothly disappeared. Or at least I could not see it anymore. That another witness saw this object 5-10 minutes before me, and he hasn’t mentioned any movements, and it was in about the same position. So, that couldn’t be any astronomical object, it was clearly not an airplane or helicopter because of it’s movement and lights (I didn’t have any strobes or anything). I’m an amateur UFO researcher, I know lot’s of stuff that can be mistakenly recognized as a UFO, and I still can’t give any human explanation to what we saw.
